The aftereffect of this investigation is then taken to estimate the necessary interest for work and how this is probably going to be bolstered. From there on the human asset plan would be actualized which means to convey the correct number, the ideal individuals for the business. There are 8 stages that are followed in work power arranging; 1. Work power arranging Where, when and what number of individuals will be required. An organization would increase numerous focal points on the off chance that it demonstrations deliberately, proactively, effectively and productively. Likewise by speculation how it influences the system of the association. For Ex: a few organizations in USA don't think in vital way. They will simply get together in a bar and simply talk about what number of individuals are required without speculation much ahead. This would prompt disappointment. 2. The Immune System – Overview

We are encircled by billions of microorganisms and infections. To a considerable lot of them, a person resembles a mobile buffet, offering about boundless assets that they can use for vitality and proliferation. Fortunately for us, getting into the human body isn't a simple assignment! From the perspective of these small life forms, a human is somewhat similar to a fortification. The skin is thick and exceptionally difficult to infiltrate. What's more, the skin additionally delivers an assortment of substances that are destructive to trespassers. Openings, for example, the eyes, nose, and mouth are secured by liquids or clingy bodily fluid that catch destructive attackers. The respiratory tract additionally has mechanical resistances as cilia, minuscule hairs that expel particles. Gatecrashers that get the extent that the stomach are facing an ocean of stomach corrosive that murders the majority of them. In any case, disregarding our awesome safeguards, antagonistic intruders despite everything figure out how to get past. Some enter alongside our food, while others may sneak in by means of the nose. What's more, as we as a whole know, numerous things can get through our skin. In regular daily existence we frequently get cuts or scratches, and each time this happens we face the danger of a full-scale attack from microorganisms or viruses. What is the enchantment, at that point, that keeps us sound more often than not? At the point when we get a cut, and when intruders enter the body, cells are wrecked. The withering cells trigger a programmed reaction called aggravation, which incorporates expanded veins and expanded blood stream. An aggravation is the body's proportionate to a criminal alert. When it goes off, it attracts guarded cells to the harmed region extraordinary numbers. Expanded blood stream enables cautious cells to arrive at where they're required. It likewise represents the redness and growing that occur.Immune Cells: The Defense The guarded cells are all the more regularly known as resistant cells. They are a piece of an exceptionally successful safeguard power called the safe framework. The cells of the resistant framework cooperate with various proteins to search out and wreck anything remote or risky that enters our body. It requires some investment for the invulnerable cells to be initiated †yet once they're working at full quality, there are not many antagonistic living beings that have a potential for success. Safe cells are white platelets delivered in gigantic amounts in the bone marrow. There are a wide assortment of invulnerable cells, each with its own qualities and shortcomings. Some search out and eat up attacking living beings, while others demolish contaminated or changed body cells. One more sort can discharge unique proteins considered antibodies that mark interlopers for decimation by different cells. Be that as it may, the truly cool thing about the invulnerable framework is that it can â€Å"rememberâ⠂¬ adversaries that it has battled before. On the off chance that the safe framework recognizes a â€Å"registered† trespasser, it will strike substantially more rapidly and all the more furiously against it.As an outcome, an intruder that attempts to assault the body a subsequent time will in all probability be cleared out before there are any indications of illness. At the point when this occurs, we state that the body has gotten safe. Microscopic organisms and Viruses: Our Main Enemies | An infection needs a host cell to imitate. | Now that you know somewhat about our safeguards, we should investigate our essential foes. Microorganisms and infections are the creatures frequently answerable for assaulting our bodies. Most microorganisms are free living, while others live in or on different living beings, including humans.Unfortunately, numerous microscopic organisms that have human hosts produce poisons (harms) that harm the body. Not all microscopic organisms are destruc tive, however. Some are nonpartisan and many are even alluring as they satisfy significant capacities in the body. Microorganisms are finished creatures that duplicate by cell division. Infections, then again, can't duplicate all alone. They need a host cell. They commandeer body cells of people or different species, and stunt them into delivering new infections that would then be able to attack different cells. Every now and again, the host cell is devastated during the procedure. Pathogens and AntigensIn day by day life we may discuss infections, microscopic organisms, and poisons. Be that as it may, when finding out about the insusceptible framework you’ll frequently go over the words antigen and pathogen. An antigen is an outside substance that triggers a response from the insusceptible framework. Antigens are regularly found on the surfaces of microorganisms and infections. A pathogen is a minuscule living being that causes infection. Unfriendly microscopic organisms and infections are instances of pathogens The Immune System †in More Detail The resistant framework is one of nature's all the more captivating creations. Effortlessly, it ensures us against billions of microbes, infections, and other parasites. Most of us never consider the way that while we spend time with our companions, stare at the TV, or go to class, inside our bodies, our resistant framework is continually on the alarm, assaulting whenever there's any hint of an attack by unsafe creatures. The resistant framework is extremely mind boggling. It's comprised of a few kinds of cells and proteins that have various employments to do in battling outside intruders. In this segment, we'll investigate the pieces of the resistant framework in some detail. In case you're finding out about the resistant framework just because, we suggest that you investigate the Immune System Overview first (see connect below). The Complement System The initial segment of the invulnerable framework that m eets trespassers, for example, microscopic organisms is a gathering of proteins called the supplement framework. These proteins stream uninhibitedly in the blood and can rapidly arrive at the site of an attack where they can respond legitimately with antigens †particles that the body perceives as remote substances. At the point when initiated, the supplement proteins can | - | trigger inflammation| | - | pull in eater cells, for example, macrophages to the area| | - | coat gatecrashers with the goal that eater cells are bound to eat up them| | - | execute intruders|Phagocytes This is a gathering of safe cells represented considerable authority in finding and â€Å"eating† microorganisms, infections, and dead or harmed body cells. There are three primary sorts, the granulocyte, the macrophage, and the dendritic cell. | The granulocytes regularly take the principal remain during a contamination. They assault any intruders in huge numbers, and â€Å"eat† until they b ite the dust. The discharge in a contaminated injury comprises primarily of dead granulocytes. A little piece of the granulocyte network is had some expertise in assaulting bigger parasites, for example, worms. | The macrophages (â€Å"big eaters†) are more slow to react to intruders than the granulocytes, yet they are bigger, live more, and have far more prominent limits. Macrophages additionally have a key influence in cautioning the remainder of the resistant arrangement of trespassers. Macrophages begin as white platelets called monocytes. Monocytes that leave the circulation system transform into macrophages. | The dendritic cells are â€Å"eater† cells and eat up interlopers, similar to the granulocytes and the macrophages. What's more, similar to the macrophages, the dendritic cells help with the actuation of the remainder of the resistant system. They are additionally fit for separating body liquids to free them from outside life forms and particles. | Lymphocyt es †T cells and B cells | The lymphatic system| The receptors coordinate just a single explicit antigen. | White platelets called lymphocytes begin in the bone marrow yet relocate to parts of the lymphatic framework, for example, the lymph hubs, spleen, and thymus. There are two primary sorts of lymphatic cells, T cells and B cells. The lymphatic framework additionally includes a transportation framework †lymph vessels †for transportation and capacity of lymphocyte cells inside the body. The lymphatic framework takes care of cells into the body and sift through dead cells and attacking life forms, for example, microorganisms. On the outside of each lymphatic cell are receptors that empower them to perceive remote substances. These receptors are particular †each can coordinate just a single explicit antigen. To comprehend the receptors, think about a hand that can just snatch one explicit thing. Envision that your hands could just get apples. You would be a genuine apple-picking champion †however you wouldn't have the option to get whatever else. In your body, each single receptor approaches a turn looking for its â€Å"apple. The lymphocyte cells travel through your body until they discover an antigen of the correct size and shape to coordinate their particular receptors. It may appear to be restricting that the receptors of every lymphocyte cell can just match one explicit kind of antigen, yet the body compensates for this by delivering such a large number of various lymphocyte cells that the resistant framework can perceive almost all invaders.T cells T cells come in two distinct sorts, partner cells and executioner cells. They are named T cells after the thymus, an organ arranged under the breastbone. Immune system microorganisms are delivered in the bone marrow and later move to the thymus where they develop. Assistant T cells are the significant main impetus and the principle controllers of the safe protection. Their essential ass ignment is to actuate B cells and executioner T cells. Be that as it may, the partner T cells themselves must be actuated. This happens when a macrophage or dendritic cell, which has eaten a trespasser, goes to the closest lymph hub to introduce data about the caught pathogen. The phagocyte shows an antigen piece from the trespasser on its own surface, a procedure called antigen introduction. At the point when the receptor of an assistant T cell perceives the antigen, the T cell is activated.Once actuated, partner T cells begin to partition and to create proteins that initiate B and T cells just as other resistant cells. | PARTS AND FUNCTIONS White Blood Cells * The littlest pieces of the safe framework are the bunch kinds of white platelets that are liable for crushing pernicious bacterial, viral and tumor cells. White blood cells fill in as the two chiefs and disease executioners. They are liable for initiating and speaking with different kinds of white platelets before devastatin g harmful cells like parasites and tumors. Normal executioner cells straightforwardly assault infection cells and tumor

Snake Of The Soul Essays - Fiction, Snakes, , Term Papers

Snake Of The Soul ?Snake? is one of Lawrence's most popular sonnets. Despite the fact that the sonnet is by all accounts about an experience with a snake, the genuine topic of the sonnet is the contention between passionate conduct and learned conduct. This contention is shown through setting and imagery. The sonnet starts with an extremely story voice and is a joy to peruse hence. Lawrence is exuberated in communicating his respect for nature. In the initial three verses of the sonnet the setting is built up and the development of the snake is depicted. The sonnet occurred in a nursery close to his home on the grounds that the kid was in night wear and under the shade of ?an extraordinary dull carob-tree.? The development of the snake is depicted by the similar sounding word usage of the s sound in the words straight, delicately, slack, and quietly. Imagery is utilized all through the sonnet. The nursery where the sonnet happens can be an image of the Garden of Eden, and the snake, an image of the fallen angel. A snake is an image of abhorrence, however a snake is additionally an image of edification and knowledge as indicated by antiquated human advancements. The snake, be that as it may, is a definitive image of strain. The pressure in the little youngster is caused in light of the fact that he needs to settle on a choice. At the point when he experiences the snake, he is suggested with the conversation starter to execute the snake or to let it leave safe, to follow up on his human training or his sense. While the snake is drinking at the trough, the kid's feelings are in strife. Despite the fact that the kid was frightened, he was considerably progressively respected that the snake should look for his friendliness. When the snake began to leave, the kid's time was running out. He needed to settle on a choice. In light of his ?damned human instruction,? he chose to act in a malicious manner and toss a log at the snake. Does this propose the snake isn't underhanded, however the spirit in man is innately insidious? Or on the other hand is the snake detestable in light of the fact that he was withdrawing into the underhanded obscurity of hellfire represented by the gap in the gap? When the kid tossed the log at the snake, he promptly thought twice about it, uncovering ?I thought how irrelevant, how foul, what a mean act?I wish he would return, my snake.? After the kid tossed the log, he perceived the blamelessness of the snake taking note of, ?And things being what they are, I botched my opportunity with one of the masters/Of life.? This delineates man continually attempting to loot the nobility from every single Godly animal, and how insignificant it is. Through this sonnet, Lawrence has outlined his point about struggle and the conflict of contrary energies. The images utilized in this sonnet are exceptionally vague since they can be deciphered numerous ways. The snake can be an image of underhandedness, edification and shrewdness, or pressure. The kid fights through numerous feelings in this sonnet, at long last going to the acknowledgment that men are inalienably underhanded. Book reference N/A English Essays

Is Community College Right for You

Is Community College Right for You Is Community College Right for You? Is Community College Right for You?With the costs of a four-year college education spiraling out of control, community colleges offer a much more affordable alternative for students. For a long time now, there’s been a pretty specific idea of what the American Dream looks like. You immigrate to America, you work hard, you save enough money to send your kids to college, and then they land themselves squarely in the upper middle class. But dreams change. Or maybe its reality thats changing instead. For one, the traditional four-year college is more expensive than ever and it’s not getting any cheaper. And while graduates will often be stuck with loads of student debt, the sorts of salaries that might allow prompt payment of that debt are getting harder and harder to find. That’s why it’s more important than ever to consider different options when it comes to transitioning from high school to the general workforce. One good option to consider? Community college. Why it’s a good ch oice. The experts we spoke to were all pretty enthusiastic about at least considering community college.“Community college is a great â€" and overlooked â€" option for students who want to save on college tuition,” explained Dr. Sean Carton, Chief Strategist at idfive (@idfive). “According to the American Association of Community Colleges, the average yearly tuition at a community college is $3,660 as opposed to the average cost of a year at a state university at in-state rates ($10,230).While you can pursue a two-year associate’s degree at a community college and then transfer to a four-year school to get your bachelor’s degree, you don’t have to: many people attend community college in order to knock out a substantial chunk of their required general education classes.“But you don’t have to be working towards an (eventual) bachelor’s degree to attend community college. Many community colleges offer two-year vocational programs that lead to employment in medicine (d ental hygienist, registered nurse, MRI technician, etc.), aviation (air traffic controller, avionics technician), the law (paralegal), science (lab technician, geological/petroleum field technician), and other professions that often pay over $50,000 per year.”Dr. Carton wasn’t the only one to suggest community colleges as an option for either eventually transferring to a four-year school or as an end to itself.“If high school graduates seek up-to-date occupational/technical certifications, diplomas or degrees, then a nearby, affordable community college is often the best choice they could make,” advised Timothy G. Wiedman. Wiedman is a retired professor of Management Human Resources at  Doane University (@DoaneUniversity)  and taught at a large community college for fifteen years before that.“For example, for folks who have mechanical skills and enjoy working with their hands, HVAC training can lead to jobs that pay well and are in demand in many parts of the country. But training for interesting ‘indoor’ jobs (e.g., pharmacy technicians, veterinary assistants, and many others) is also available. The range of possibilities at larger community colleges would surprise a great many people.“On the other hand, even if folks are interested in a four-year bachelors degree, investigating one of these two-year colleges can still make sense, since the majority of college-bound students live within commuting distance of a relatively inexpensive community college.“Completing a two-year transfer program locally while living at home and then transferring to a more expensive four-year school to complete a baccalaureate degree will often save a great deal of money. In most cases, the content of the completed ‘transfer’ coursework will be nearly identical.Further, the individual attention available to freshmen at a community college is often superior to the attention that students receive in large, 200-student sections of introductory courses taught at many major universities. In addition, lower-level courses at universities are often taught by young graduate students (i.e., teaching assistants) who may have limited teaching experience and are often carrying heavy graduate course-loads that might well be their primary concerns.”But we hear what you’re saying from the other side of the screen. You want to hear from someone with personal experience with community college. We’ve got you covered!“Brittany and I both choose to go to community college first so I think I can offer some great insight,” recounted Kelan Kline of  The Savvy Couple  (@TheSavvyCouple). “When we were applying to colleges we knew we wanted to save money and understand the actual value of what we were paying for. We both decided to go to community college first to knock out most of our general freshmen prerequisites.“The biggest driving factor was being able to save money. We both continued to live at home with our parents and commute to school. We picked a college close by with a great reputation for transferring credits to a four-year school. Brittany was able to get through her first two years of college for free with financial aid and I walked away with around $3,000 of student loans.”Full disclosure. If there were no advantages to a four-year college, they probably wouldn’t exist. Everyone would just go to community colleges. So what are the hypothetical downsides to community college?Dr. Carton offered some community college cons to consider:“Little to no ‘college experience.’ People often go part time and there’s usually no campus housing.“Risk of credits not transferring. If you have a school in mind you want to transfer into once you’ve finished community college, check with their admissions office first to see what will transfer.“You’ll enter a four-year school as an ‘outsider’ when others in your class are already established and have made friends.“Technical school credits usually aren’t t ransferable to a 4-year school.”OK, now it’s decision time.Decision time. Now you have a sense of the pros and cons to community college. That means it’s time to make your decision. Well, not necessarily right now. But before you go to college.“Visit the school and see what the programs are like at each school,” advised College Counseling Tutor Joann Elliott (@JoannCCTSTL). “Community college and trade school may have a shorter time commitment than the four-year, but you might find trade school has less traditional coursework and is more hands-on. The traditional four-year is well suited for those who like school and can dedicate themselves to the rigor and self-discipline that it takes to commit to a four (or more!) year time frame.Every school is different so start early. We started working with my nephew on trying to figure this out at the end of his sophomore year. We visited all types of schools and now as a junior he has a good idea of which option might fit his lea rning style and goals the best.”But there are choices to consider beyond whether you go to a community college or four-year university. One other possibility is trade school, as Elliot referenced.“Technical or trade schools are usually private institutions that train students for jobs in what are known as ‘The Skilled Trades,’ such as plumbing, auto mechanics, electrical, carpentry, etc.,” explained Dr. Carton.“Many technical schools also train students for jobs such as commercial driving, welding, and heavy equipment operation. Trade schools vary in price, but a degree usually will run you around $20-$30,000. This is obviously more expensive than a community college degree but many of the jobs these schools train students for are in high demand.”Consider taking a gap year. You might also find a reason to delay the start of your college career, regardless of which college you’re heading to.“A relatively new concept after high school is that of a gap year,” offered Elliot. “A gap year gives a student the opportunity to figure it out. They might achieve knowing themselves better by a variety of activities including travel abroad, volunteering, taking courses part-time, working, job shadowing, or a mix of all of the above.A couple of tips Id give people is to consider having a well-defined plan and structure to your gap year. Dont just say ‘Ill volunteer’ and then waste your year binging on Netflix and stuffing your face and letting time get away.I also recommend students apply to college when the time is right (in the fall) if they are a high school senior and then defer their enrollment if they decide on a gap year. This way if they decide the gap year isnt for them, they still can attend college with the rest of their peers.Regardless, if you do take a gap year you can bet the college admissions office will ask you how you spent your gap year.  Your gap year should be moving you forward, not wasting time. There are plenty of colleges that have structured gap year programs and there are websites to assist people looking for gap year options.”And then there’s another straightforward option.College isnt mandatory.“There is also always the option to start working,” explained Leslie H. Tayne Esq.(@LeslieHTayneEsq), Founder and Head Attorney at  Tayne Law Group  (@taynelawgroup). “While the number of jobs requiring a college degree continues to grow, there can still be a benefit to taking a job out of high school. You can also use this time to figure out what you enjoy doing and what you are good at doing and then decide to go to school. This can also give you time to save money to go to college.”At the end of the day, it’s going to be up to you to figure out what option is best for your specific situation. Hopefully, this input will help you choose that option. This is done by the use of real-life experience, hence working on the authenticity of the subject. The author the goes further to cite work done by other researchers. I like this fact as he takes a greater look at the issues at hand. This is a way of acknowledging what other authors have come up with in line with the subject. He recognizes the work done by Prakken and Schultz in line with organizational integration. Here, one realizes the fact that communication is pertinent to any integration in organization. This is because the different levels or departments in an organization need to have similar perceptions on given issues.I agree that the author has made good use of research works that have been done by other authors. He has also done extensive research in the field. I concur with the author that integration in the organizations calls for efficient communication systems and channels. These ensure that there is cohesion in all tasks and the departments that exist. However, there are also altern atives to organizational integration, which include proper planning and control systems.Reference ListPrakken,B. 2000. A great question to consider is does it really work with the methods brought forth? The author talks about emphasizing group effort in decision making that impact on the overall organization, it also assesses the prevailing situation in determining the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats via the SWOT analysis and finally employees are granted freedom for personal development as they work towards achieving organizational goals.Operational planning draws its origin fr om strategic plans. This is followed by responsibility and resource allocation to individuals and various units sufficient for effective work. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( Ptsd ) - 1522 Words

Introduction Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is the most severe trauma- and stressor- related disorder. PTSD was first included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) in 1980 after the Vietnam War. Today, according to Koenen and Galea (2015), â€Å"The majority of adults report exposure to at least one traumatic event in their lifetime.† Many of these individuals will struggle with PTSD. This report will give the diagnostic criteria for PTSD while focusing on Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. Diagnosing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD is very common among veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. â€Å"Since September 11, 2001, the USA has deployed more than 2.7 million men and women to support combat†¦show more content†¦Researchers noticed veterans had symptoms of â€Å"re-experiencing, avoidance, hyperarousal, and emotional numbing† (Koo et al., 2015). There is a general understanding that symptoms of PTSD are sorted into four categories: intrusion symptoms, avoidance, negative alterations of mood, and arousal symptoms. Intrusion symptoms can include nightmares, flashbacks, and intrusive thoughts. Avoidance symptoms is the constant avoidance of thoughts and feelings pertaining to the trauma. Alterations of mood can be shown through negative view of self and the world, as well as, detaching emotionally after the trauma. Finally, arousal symptoms, which can be the most dangerous symptoms, include reckless behavior and hypervigilance (Sue et al., 2016). Most veterans display symptoms in all four categories. According to Ramchand et al. (2015), â€Å"There is consistent evidence that PTSD symptoms increase as the time since returning from deployment increases and that PTSD is also associated with being injured in theater.† Course and Prevalence According to Watts, Zayed, Llewellyn-Thomas, and Schnurr (2016), â€Å"almost 7% of adults in the United States experience PTSD at some point in their lifetime and the presence of PTSD among veterans of the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is 14%.† This is a large amount of the population. Veterans returning from war with PTSD may not have the structure and support they need. It is reported that â€Å"twenty-two

The credibility of the HRM practices increases and the approach is more analytical in nature. Evidence based management is the new and evolving process of management where the decisions are made on the basis of evidences. The evidence based management process supports the practices of the organizations and the managerial decisions as well. The judgement made by the management is based on the practical circumstances and the ethical concerns (Tenhil et al., 2016). The significance of evidence based management lies on the fact that this way of management helps to link the gap between the research that is performed and the practices of the management. The decisions made by the management in this process is much more practical and relevant as compared to the other ways of management (Glaub et al., 2014). The human resource management function of an organization adds value to the strategy of the organization. This process can also be termed as strategic human resource management or SHRM which is an important concept in the business environment. Strategic human resource management helps to encourage high levels of performance in the workplace and managing the human capital. The process of strategic human resource management links the human resource management function of an organization and the strategic goals of the organization. The main objective of this function is to improve the performance of the business and thereby achieve the strategic goals of the organization (Kramar et al., 2014) The SHRM function of an organization helps in developing an organizational culture that supports flexibility and innovation and also helps the organization in gaining competitive advantage. SHRM refers to the process by which the HR related activities are considered to be the strategic partner for formulating the strategies of the company and thereby implementing these strategies. The strategies of the organizations should be aligned with functions related to the human resource management including, selection, recruitment, training and then rewarding the employees as well. System Operational requirements Elements of the Communication System This includes the radio communication, automation of the fare collection, vehicle location and the variable message board links. There has been a supervisory control and the Data Acquisition system which will help in handling the light rail network. The evaluation is based on planning and focusing on the decision-making the process to understand the LRT design. The conceptual plan includes the alignments and the associated infrastructure. The setup is based on the development of the public transport technology and access. (Design, 2016). For the development, the conceptual planning is necessary for handling the system level evaluation and designs for the civic leaders and the urban planners. Trackway route and infrastructure This is based on handling the structure with the appropriate selection of the segments which can provide with the enhanced opportunity by the rail project. There have been factors like the rail transit route and the other density and location activity centers for a proper employment. This provides a proper alignment which can easily minimize the costs of the construction and serve for precise traveling patterns and mobility. (Zheng et al., 2015). Operational facilities and distribution For the system, the improvement is based on planning the management of the system with a sustainable approach. The characteristics have been designed for the development where the functions operate to include the life cycle and the costs depending upon the rate of readiness. Figure: 10 Life Cycle, Performance, and EconomicConsiderations | A Framework to Guide Selection of Chemical Alternatives | The National Academies Press. (2016). Economic Factors The costs are based on handling the railway alignment which is of $24 million/mile and the shared use for the active railway line is $35 million/mile. Space per railcar: 770- 2760 SF (71- 253 m) and Cost per car- space: $416,000- $1,546,000. Technical Performance Measures The technical performance measures are to take hold of the single tracks for the different directions which are on the parallel streets with the bi-directions single track to handle the problem of ROW. The Interlaced track has been set for the effective working like the single track section where there are no switches or the rails to handle the movable switches. System maintenance and support There have been different common fare collection methods where the operator collects the fare, passenger self-service, and the turnstiles. (Giezen et al., 2015). The platform station profile has the typical platform with the platform width of the curb side of 8-10ft, trackside 10-16ft. The platform heights for the low floor standards is 14' and with the bridge plate is 8-10". The configure are based on including the center island platform, side platform and the curb side platform. Preliminary system design This is based on the allocation and the selection to perform the designs which are under the certain cost constraints. As per the production, there is a need to evaluate the rail network technicalities through the series of performances and the operations. The inventory measures need to trace the level of system and work on the functional analysis. In this, there have been stations and communications with the vehicle equipment to handle the modern system of the light rail network. (Crosbee et al., 2015). Figure: Integration of Process and Product Models - SEBoK. (2016). Design Requirements Onboard fare collections by the operator is a slow process as the passengers need only to board through the front door. The station based ticket vending machines and the proof of purchase are used in the LRT systems where the passengers involve the purchasing of the tickets from the ticket vending machines. There is a need to use the station based TVM to improve the efficiency and the convenience. This will impose an extra expense for the security. Development and process requirements. This is important for the handling of communication system with the FFBD. The controlled mechanism is as per the computation to bring out the maintenance with support and allocate the different technical measures for a better performance. System specification The functionality for designing and performance support. The on-board ticket vending and the proof of purchase for the lighter service. This helps in handling the passengers who are on the station or having the turnstile access to buy the tickets for accessing the platforms. This increase the footprints of the station. (Laporte et al., 2015). The system process is based on assuring that the design decisions are consistent to manage the interface along with assessing the complete structures. Process The process is based on the sustainable development with resource handling and maintenance. The patterns are set for the production and the dispersibility factor which set to the establishment of a proper design. The design includes the requirements and the creation of a higher level design descriptions where the processes are fed back as per the requirement and include the reliability, maintenance and the testing features for meeting the performance. Figure: Integration of Process and Product Models - SEBoK. (2016). Design Criteria The design criteria are based on handling the generation schemes which are based on the information gathered from the users. The roles and the responsibilities are based on the budget of the project which has been approved through a properly prepared report for the design. (Adham et al., 2015). Designing for sustainability and security The designing is based on the station platform work which includes the streetcar type stations for the fast, easy and safe access. For this, there is a need for the platforms which involve the level boarding systems with the full-time performance of the LRT stations which have amenities and the facilities like the benches, canopy or shelter, and the information kiosk for the help to the passengers who want to travel. (Opasanon et al., 2016). Maintainability The maintenance is based on handling the electric power for the production of the benefits in the performance, environmental cost as well as the ongoing cost. The discussions are based on the form of the electrification which supplies a direct current power over the wire to the LRT trains. The circuit for the direct current is through the steel running rails. This is mainly to ignore the danger and assure the effective traction of the power circuits. Detailed Design analysis The development is based on the handling of system with the utilisation of the best tool and process. The system analysis is through proper feedback and the corrective actions which are set under the maintenance and the support. Figure: 10 Life Cycle, Performance, and EconomicConsiderations | A Framework to Guide Selection of Chemical Alternatives | The National Academies Press. (2016). Evaluation and feedback The evolution of the different designs is based on the configuration which works for the looping progressions. There have been accomplishments based on the development of data and resource integration process. This looks for the contraction through the CAD drawing for the reviewing of the designed data. (Thagard, 2016). Design requirements The development is mainly based on handling the construction models along with keeping the track for the controlled parameters. This is the handling of the time and the other process with the improvement in the installation and the LRT (Light Train Transit) alignment. (Thagard, 2016). The communications are based on the secured systems which have a hardwired and a wireless communication which includes the radio communication, public address systems, variable message boards and the CCTV for the automation of fare collection. Figure: Integration of Process and Product Models - SEBoK. (2016). Conclusion The performance of the system is based on the light rail network and how the system is able to map to the embedded life cycle. The effective development leads to the production of the system design phase. The life cycle is operated where the configuration design approaches to support the model and analyze the different model approach. (Thagard, 2016). The maintenance is based on the hierarchy of the system through proper accessibility and the design. The security led to the transportation and opened where the products lead to a better performance. The storage and design phase include the operations and administration to identify the functional sites for the storage and the maintenance facilities. The conceptual planning is for handling the located storage support site where the information has been set to track the sharing with the heavy railroad operations. Recommendation The orientation process and the deployment are based on configuring the different processes which inhibit the decision systems. The customers try to focus on the deployment functionality by strengthened response to handle the system requirements. This will work on improving the delivery of the associated technicalities, where the resources are set to meet the dynamic and the static flow of the system. The paper has been focusing on the evaluation and conceptualizing of the LRT systems. The planners political and the civic leaders are for understanding the detailed design processes with the technical issues. Reference Salmon, P. M., Lenn, M. G., Read, G. J., Mulvihill, C. A True Inspiration free essay sample

It was just another usual day in my 4th period class when I came across a passage about a certain woman named Julia Butterfly Hill. The caption did catch my attention as it read – ‘WOMAN LIVING IN CALIFORNIA REDWOOD TREE FOR 738 DAYS.’ I wondered what kind of courageous woman would isolate herself from society for two long years. I then began reading the article and found that her achievements were really quite appalling. In fact, she sounded a little just like myself – when she was 16 years old, she did not know what she wanted to do with herself until a tragic car accident caused her to grasp onto her life, which marked the beginning of her aspiration to dedicate her life to save the environment. Now she is known as an environmental activist and motivational speaker best noted for her contribution to rescuing the last California redwood tree named Luna. Ms. Hill is still my biggest inspiration as she has taught me through her actions to save Luna the valu e of real compassion and true leadership. Her motivation and attitude about life is the kind of resemblance I see in myself. Hill also quoted once that â€Å"I wake up in the morning asking myself what can I do today, how can I help the world today. I believe in what I do beyond a shadow of a doubt.† Like Julia Butterfly Hill’s success in saving Luna, I want to become the woman who can make the world a better place every single day.

To What Extent Can Violent Video Games Be Said to Explain Violent Essay

To What Extent Can Violent Video Games Be Said to Explain Violent Behaviour in Teenagers - Essay Example Many parents and educators allege that this obsession with violent video games that grips so many teenagers is a direct cause of violent behaviour in teenagers. A closer examination of the facts about video games and teenage behaviour reveals, however, that this is a very dubious claim, since it is very difficult to prove any causal link between video game playing and violent behaviour in teenagers. The main argument in favour of a link between violent video games and teenage behaviour is that, like violent films on television and in the cinema, they can affect the development of a young person’s personality in an adverse way. Several well respected American medical associations such as the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Medical Association issued a joint statement in year 2000 saying that there is a causal connection between media violence and aggressive behaviour , but that it is a complex effect (Gentile et al., 2004, p. 19). In the United Kingdom there is a strict classification system in place that is intended to prevent the most violent games from getting into the hands of people under eighteen years of age. This system is not always effective, since the majority of parents do not monitor the titles that their teenage children buy, and they often have very little knowledge about what these games actually contain. Clearly the authorities in most countries are convinced that violent video games can cause harm, and they take steps to minimize this harm. These measures do not, however, amount to real hard evidence that links video games with violent behaviour. Media in general contain vast amounts of material ranging from innocuous cartoons and slapstick violence to sick and criminal content that clearly should not be available to teenagers. Young people are exposed to multiple sources of images and texts on the television, in print material and on the internet every day, and so it is difficult to prove that video games are the root cause of any violent behaviour. Any amount of other sources could influence teenagers, and so it seems unreasonable to pinpoint video games as a cause of violent behaviour. They are perhaps an easy target because they are well regulated, and their popularity can be measured through sales and feedback to the providers. They may also arouse deep suspicion in technophobe adults who cannot keep up with the skills of young people in their care. For all of these reasons, it seems likely that the perceived effect of playing video games is exaggerated, and that their relative novelty in the entertainment landscape has attracted undue attention to the particular contribution that they make. It can be argued that evidence for the influence of video games is to be found in statements of young people themselves. There are many cases where teenagers enter the criminal justice system because they are acc used of some act of violence. In such a situation they can state that they were influenced by a certain game title. Examples such as the â€Å"Grand Theft Auto† series are often mentioned in this connection, because this kind of first person action game involves street crime and aggression towards fictional characters. Violent youth offenders are often

Personal statement Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words - 4

Personal Statement Example Moreover, I have a willingness to develop my English speaking skills, which will certainly make my interaction with people overseas better. Ever since I was a young kid, I have always wanted to go abroad and roam around the world. Although I did my primary schooling from Turkey, I felt uneasy being in only one place and wanted to travel to different places and meet different kinds of people. Moving to the United Kingdom was a wonderful experience and it gave me great joy to meet people from a different culture. My experience throughout this time earned me many skills and I discovered a lot about my abilities. First of all, when I was on the basketball team at my school, I learnt to perform very well under pressure in order to get the best result. This happened especially during those times when there were only a few minutes left for the end of the game and we still had to score another point to win. Most importantly, I have learnt to accept my failures and be critical with myself by trying to find out the areas where I failed to perform well and perfecting those areas before the next game. I believe that such determination will make me a very good business manager, as carrying on with enthusiasm after losing a deal is a very important skill for business men to have. Another experience at my high school made me gain essential skills required by professionals in business management. ... Furthermore, I gained the ability to successfully work and get along with a diverse range of people. In addition, I learnt how to take quick decisions whenever an emergency related to the technical service or a fight between two individuals occurred. I believe that such skills are extremely important in the business profession because a business manager should know how to change the tone of his proposition depending on the mood of the client. Moreover, I believe that once you get along with a client, you are already halfway to scoring the deal. On the other hand, this experience taught me how important communication skills are in the profession of being an international business manager. Although I have developed extremely good interpersonal skills, I want to further develop my English speaking skills. I understand how important it is for an international business manager to be extremely fluent in English, especially during interactions with clients in different countries. This is th e reason why I have taken English as one of the subjects for the Business Foundation course which I am currently studying at CATS College. Other than English, I have taken Business Studies, Accounting and Math as all of these subjects are equally important for my future as an international business manager. Solving math problems has taught me perseverance which is a critical trait that will help me work towards my goals with a calm and clear head. Accounting has of course developed my practical skills, whereas Business Studies has increased my knowledge about the way things go about in the business profession. I highly believe that I am the perfect candidate for the International Business Trade/Management course offered by your university. I enjoy traveling to different places and
